The Irago Cape is located at the end of the Atsumi peninsula near Nagoya (right pic). It's a famous spot of migratory hawk
Hawks stop by there on their way back to South-East Asia. There come many bird-watchers and tourists. Enjoy the ocean view from a hot spring we'll stay at.

Hawks soar making in a circle to get altitude up in a sky to cross the bay, Hawk Pillar. I saw a couple of big pillars of hundred hawks in 1980's The number decreased, and we only a small pillar recentrly (right). (see Sashiba hawk and Irago). The average number of hawks in 2005-2015 was 8800, and Grey-faced Buzzard (left) 5700, and Honey Buzzard (right) 400.
It may be caused by the detelioration of breeding conditions in Japan, and deforestation in wintering places of East-Asia.

Eastern Buzzard, Sparrow Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, Eurasian Hobby. There are Bulbul and other birds gathering for migration in a flock too. You may see a Falcon or Hobby hunting them.
