Honzawa Onsen 本沢温泉	Mt. Yatsugatake, Honzawa
4 hours from the Inagao-yu, It's located in 2100 m, the highest open-air bath in Japan. There are various routes to climb Yatsugatake mountain range. Honzawa Onsen Hut is a one of huts in Mt. Yatsugatake. You can make a day trip to dipping, but I recomend to stay at Honzawa Onsen Hut with delicious meals, and dip a wild onsen enjoying mountain scenery and starligts. Honzawa Hut is the year-round operated hut, so it is the hightest onsen in all season.te all season (2100 m). You could ride a jeep to get there in old days (1986). A breakfast at 6 and a dinner at 18. Meals are so good you couldn't believe your in the mountain..
Indoor bath（men's and women's) It looks like a pablic bath in ordinary inns. A whitish onsen with flowers of sulfur. Valley bath 5 min. walk takes you a onsen paradaise. There is a small onsen tub on the river side. No dressing hut. You see great view of Mt. Io, sufler mountain of Yatugatake mountain range. It is a sub-Alpine zone, no more conifers up above. Onsen is a white sulfuric spring (pH3.0). You'd be fascinated by landscape and feel great accomplishment of your climbing.
